Aloha, Hawaii

After two five hour flights, we are finally in Honolulu.  We left Pittsburgh at about 530 am EST and arrived in Honolulu at about 215 pm (HST).  I'm tired, but after gaining all that time, I already feel younger.

Today was just a check-in and a little bit of sightseeing in town.  Naturally I stopped at the Honolulu Walmart.  Some pretty good stuff there.  But we did a good bit of walking, so we were back in the hotel about 8.

Did you know: When Captain Cook "discovered" the islands in 1778 he named them the Sandwich Islands, after the Fourth Earl of Sandwich who sponsored his voyage.  Hence the blog title.
